Streets of Rage Remake
One my favorite Sega Genesis game series has been revived with a homebrew remake.
Streets of Rage Remake is a new story created from pieces of all three games with plenty of extra features and unlockable stuff to keep you busy. The reviews seem to be good. I just hope Ash makes an appearance somewhere.
Being a PC only game, I had to run it in Windows using Parallels on my Mac. Everything ran great, except for my gamepad. I guess USB gamepads aren’t supported in Parallels, yet, so I had to stick with the keyboard. I’m sure I could have messed with some gamepad shareware utility, but they all cost money. I’ll just hold out for Parallels to catch up. It’ll be nice to play PC versions of console emulators anyway since the Mac ports all want to charge money to use a gamepad.
